Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules that govern how you may use the Basanta SEO API service. By using the API, you agree to comply with this AUP.

You may use Basanta SEO API for:

• SEO research, analysis, and reporting
• Link prospecting and qualification workflows
• Domain research and expired domain evaluation
• Agency client audits and deliverables
• Internal SEO tool development
• Automation workflows in tools like n8n, Zapier, or Make
• Programmatic enrichment of databases with domain metrics
• Building SaaS products (subject to resale terms)

You must not use Basanta SEO API for:

• Spam or unsolicited communication: Do not use API data to generate bulk spam campaigns or unsolicited emails.
• Credential abuse: Do not share, sell, or distribute your API key without authorization.
• Illegal activity: Do not use the API for any activity that violates applicable laws.
• Malware or phishing: Do not use API data to build tools for distributing malware or phishing attacks.
• Excessive automated abuse: Do not attempt to exceed rate limits through API key rotation, proxies, or other circumvention methods.
• Misleading claims: Do not represent API metrics as official scores from Google, Ahrefs, Moz, or Semrush.
• Reverse engineering: Do not attempt to extract, replicate, or reverse-engineer our underlying data sources or algorithms.
• Harmful purposes: Do not use the API to facilitate harassment, discrimination, or any harmful activity against individuals or organizations.

You must respect the rate limits associated with your plan. Attempting to circumvent rate limits is a violation of this AUP and may result in immediate account suspension. If you need higher limits, please upgrade your plan or contact us for a custom arrangement.

Violation of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your API access without refund. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation at our sole discretion.
